Smart grey trousers are beautiful and easy to combine fall item to have in your wardrobe.
Smart tailoring is definitely the way to go in the winter wardrobe but the key to keeping it contemporary is by pairing them with edgy accessories and casual athleisure.
Classic fall items like these Zara tweed trousers are a very good investment for seasons to come. They are one of the most versatile items that you can come across, you can dress them up with a pair of good heels and sexy top, or you can dress them down with trainers and a biker jacket.
For this moody fall Monday I’ve chosen to go with the second version as I have a lot of small commitments around the town.
A good biker jacket is one of your most valuable investments, a good one will take you from day to-night, Spring to Winter and in any occasion.
Whether you just throw it over your shoulders or zip it all up, it will keep you warm and it will make you look cool.
I’m wearing mine over a plain cotton white t-shirt for an extra casual feel. I want my trousers to be the only smart-looking item on me.
Often when we are buying stuff for the new season, we put basics to the bottom of our priorities but don’t forget that good white T will take you a long way.
I’m rounding my casual look with the pair of white sneakers. There is something about smart trousers and white trainers that feels effortlessly chic.
The tailoring always has that flattering effect and automatically gives a polished look, combine it smartly can take you from school to the board room.
Styling tip: if you get trousers to be a bit more high-waisted tuck the shirt in for an extra slim look.
As this whole outfit is a quite low-key I opted for a nice bag, Chloë Faye. It has been one of my go-to bags for a while now and I really think it’s time for a refresh.
For an extra touch of luxury, I’ve wrapped myself in a baby blue pure cashmere scarf to protect me from the cold wind. I’ve got mine in Zsa Zsa boutique in Westbourne. They don’t have an online shop, but I have found similar ones for you down below in the post.
I somehow feel, and maybe that’s just my daydream, this is how a cool business woman would dress in the 90’s in New York on her lunch break or on her way to a mani/pedi.
I hope you like my smart/casual look and let me know what are your favorite smart pieces of clothing.
Thank you for visiting.
Lots of love,
