The health benefits of lemons are endless and by now, I think, everyone knows their benefits. I’ve discovered its worth few years ago and I’ve been hooked ever since.
Lemon cures infections, indigestion, constipation, dental problems, and fever, internal bleeding, rheumatism, obesity, respiratory disorders, high blood pressure, and for now my favorite, it gives your skin and hair a healthy glow.
Well known for its therapeutic for generations, lemons helps to strengthen your immune system, cleanse your stomach, and it is considered to be a blood purifier.
The great way to give your immune sister some boost is to drink lemon water in the morning on an empty stomach.
The trick is to have it with warm water. The water needs to be lukewarm. Not too hot so it doesn’t kill the vitamins in the lemon and not too cold because your body won’t be able to process it.
I pour half of cup of cold water and top the rest with boiled water leaving some space for the lemon juice.
I always use either bottled water (possibly from the glass bottle to avoid toxins from the plastic) or filtered. I cook everything with filtered water and I find food to be tastier and my cooker has almost no calc.
After you made your mix, drink it in a short period of time so it doesn’t cool off. Try not to eat for at least half an hour. That’s how long it takes for the juice to absorb into your system and to its cleanse.
After that have your usual breakfast. The way I do it, is to have lemon water the moment I wake up before I start getting ready. By the time I finish with shower and getting dressed, it’s usually been about half an hour.
For the body, it’s not good to eat too soon in the morning because your body is not awake and it takes time for metabolism to start working properly.
