Michael Kors inspired look on a budget

Posted on

Michael Kors is known for good tailoring but I can’t really say the brand is famous for their business lines.  When I recently saw this Michael head to toe look in January issue of Harper’s Bazaar it inspired me to create one of my business looks. On a budget.

I took one of my old shirts (everyone has black and white stripes in their closet), my classic Chanel bag, Gianvito Rossi shoes and joined them with Zara trench and Zara trousers that I just got in the recent sale.

It’s often hard to come up with interesting, yet smart office outfits and when I see a new one I am really grateful.

Dressed like this you are set for a day at work or any other business activities like lunches, meetings etc. all the way to late Spring.

Intentionally I didn’t choose wide leg trouser and oversize trench for two simple reasons:

a) they weren’t on the sale in Zara,

b) regardless of the latest masculine trend I still prefer fitted items.

I hope you like my take on this office look and please let me know what do you think about latest 90’s 00’s masculine (read – Miranda from Sex and the City) trend in dressing.

Lots of love,

Maggie
