Button down shirt is sometimes a bit boring, especially if you have to wear it every day to work. In December I feel like I could literally put anything on and it worked while in January its time for some wardrobe de-cluttering. Minimalistic outfit for some business meetings is a perfect way to do it.
I don’t work in the bank so I rarely wear a pantsuit to a business meeting, but there is something fresh in a crisp button-down shirt.
For today’s running errands I’ve chosen my boyfriend’s shirt which I paired with black leather trousers and leather vest. With small twists like this leather vest you can turn a classic forever piece upside down and give it a new modern dimension. If you don’t like a vest, you can wear a corset or a belt. It gives you a lot of new ways to play with.
As for one of the meetings I need my laptop and my iPad I’ve put everything in my leather studded backpack.
I have chosen classic black stiletto heels for a touch of femininity to this rather masculine look, but white trainers or black loafers would go nicely with this. Ideally, I would maybe wear flat mules but, to be honest, I don’t have any. Soon I hope.
What are your favorite borrowed from the boys items and what is your favorite way of mixing them in your wardrobe?
Lots of love,
Maggie
