Burgundy notes to warm up this moody fall

Posted on

With the first appearance of the yellow leaves I get this urge to completely change all my clothes into Autumn colours. As we go even deeper into winter on the first days of december, I feel it’s the right time to introduce Burgundy tones into the wardrobe. In December everything turns red-ish anyway, so incorporating a tone of it will be perfect for the ongoing trend.

This season, maybe more than before, Burgundy has it renaissance and all its shades are popular. From wine-red hues to the deepest of purples, Burgundy has stepped into the spotlight as the color of the season. It has been seen on the biggest Fashion Week runways as the hottest trend for Fall/Winter 2016-2017. This season brings burgundy pieces in all shapes and sizes — from a luxe leather jacket and cozy sweaters to buttoned-up blouses.

This does not mean you need to wrap yourself head to into mentioned colour, but to keep add pieces of it to your everyday look.

This time I opted for oxblood roll neck and velvet boots to warm up my gold trousers and nude coat, but you can always go for another statement piece like trousers or coat. My ankle boots have two trends in one, Burgundy and velvet which perfectly blends with the rest of the outfit.

If you have your staple piece in burgundy, please leave your comment in the section below or email it to me.
